1997 San Leonardo Vallagarina 750ml

San Leonardo is a "Bordeaux blend" of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot wines produced from grapes grown in the sun on the hills of Trentino. Long ageing in small oak casks gives a harmonious wine with a velvety texture and exceptionally full, elegant flavors.

WINE SPECTATOR REVIEW: Black ruby in color, intense aromas of blackberries, licorice, red berries and green tobacco, this is a full-bodied red with loads of silky tannins and a long, long aftertaste of tobacco, sage and berry. A huge core of fruit in this wine. Needs time. An Italian interpretation of great Bordeaux from bygone days.
