Livermore Valley is one of the oldest grape-growing regions in California Livermore Valley. Planting of vineyards that date back to 1849. Together, extremely rocky, infertile soils, warm days, and fog-bound nights form a perfect growing environment for wines of individual and expressive character. This, their second vintage of Cabernet Sauvignon, yielded 1570 cases of wine. Aromatically, the wine is very complex, combining the sensuous aromas of dark chocolate, green olive, dark stone fruit, tar, and toasted oak. Initially somewhat tight, after aeration the wine begins to open up to reveal layers of flavor. Toasted oak gives way to delicious currant and blackberry that lengthen out on the long, tannic finish.
