ROBERT PARKER REVIEW: Surprisingly, the 100% Cabernet Sauvignon (14 year old vines) 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon Klipsun Vineyard’s nose is almost Burgundian in style, revealing loads of fresh, ripe, intense black cherry aromas. This exceptionally long wine boasts an expressive personality that regales the taster with cherries (both red and black), cassis, blackberries, and complex notes of asphalt. Its copious tannin is sweet, supple, and completely enveloped in fruit. Anticipated maturity: 2005-2018.
