ROBERT PARKER REVIEW: The 2005 Paisajes VIII is 100% Tempranillo from a single vineyard in the village where Finca Allende is located. Vine age ranges from 60-70 years. The wine was aged for 14 months in new Allier barrels and bottled without fining or filtration. Purple-hued, it reveals an enticing perfume of toast, spice box, cassis, and blackberry. It has an excellent core of fruit with layers of spicy flavor leading to a long, pure finish. It can be enjoyed now and over the next 8-10 years.
