2006 Campogiovanni Brunello di Montalcino 750ml

Among Tuscany’s winegrowing areas, Montalcino has achieved over time well-merited fame. The natural beauty of its countryside contributes to this, of course, but its weather and soils are what make a truly unsurpassed terroir.
San Felice’s investment in Montalcino dates back to the early 1980s, with the acquisition of the Campogiovanni property on the southwest slope of the hill on which Montalcino lies, a location ideally subject to the positive effects of mild breezes from off the Mediterranean.
Today 14 of our 20 hectares of vineyards are officially registered for Brunello di Montalcino production and the remaining 6 for Rosso di Montalcino. In addition the estate boasts more than 2,000 olive trees.

WINE SPECTATOR REVIEW: Licorice, sweet spices, toast, smoke and sanguine aromas and flavors envelop a kernel of raspberry in this intense, extroverted red, which is complex, focused and structured, with an expansive finish. There’s fine potential, but needs time. Best from 2014 through 2027
