Deep ruby. Full aroma of ripe berry fruit, plum, cassis, and mountain bay, with sweet notes of vanilla and mocha. Rich and complex. Intense flavors of dark plum, blackberry, cocoa, and cassis fill the palate. Densely structured, very full-bodied and richly textured with good depth and complexity. Expressive blackcurrant, sage, violets, and mocha linger on the long finish. (86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Malbec, 4% Petite Verdot, 2% Merlot, and 1% Cabernet Franc).

Made from a Cabernet Sauvignon-dominated blend of the five classic Bordeaux varieties, it’s massive in blackberry, cherry, crème de cassis, mineral and smoky oak flavors that finish dry and long. Picked up a bottle last night. It was the Wine of the Day (which means its the best price in the country) Had the wine 4 months ago and I ended up paying $75 bucks. I was in shock when I saw the price at The Wine Stop. (Posted on 1/21/12)
