Inspired by the pure, distinctive terroir of Mendoza’s highly acclaimed wine country, vintner and visionary Darioush Khaledi
together with partner, Aria Mehrabi, pursued a dream of winemaking in Argentina. After acquiring land in 2007, they set
out to grow limited amounts of Malbec that balances deep, expressive fruit with delicate earth and spice. This inaugural release of Capataz is comprised of 100% Malbec sourced from three vineyard estates in Lunlunta, Agrelo and Tupungato.
Nestled in the Andes foothills, these quaint locales oer a combination of rocky well-drained soil, high altitude, cool climate and 50-100 year old vines, all exemplary for crafting Argentina’s most treasured wine varietal.
