2008 Mount Eden Saratoga Cuvee Chardonnay 750ml
Mount Eden Vineyards is a small historic wine estate located on a 2000 foot peak in the Santa Cruz Mountain Appellation about 15 miles from the Pacific Ocean. Founded in 1945, it is recognized as one of the original “boutique” California Winery properties, focusing on small lots of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
ROBERT PARKER REVIEW: The Mount Eden 2008 Chardonnay Saratoga Cuvee flows from the glass with layers of juicy, varietal fruit. A sweet harmonious finish rounds things out in style. The Saratoga Cuvee is made from the estate’s more forward wines in barrel and is meant to be approachable early. It is a gorgeous, reasonably priced wine from Mount Eden. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2014.
