The 2008 "7" Cabernet Sauvignon represents the second bottling by Winemaker Luc Morlet!!! He is the talents behind Peter Michael Winery of Knights Valley! Luc’s expertise in Bordeaux and Burgundy style viticulture and winemaking lent itself well to the Peter Michael mission of handcrafting classical wines from mountain vineyards, in limited quantity. Luc still remains involved with Peter Michael Winery as Consulting Winemaker.

ROBERT PARKER REVIEW: The 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon 7 is a huge, dark brooding wine full of mountain tannin. It reveals fabulous intensity and raciness in its black fruit, smoke, incense, menthol, smoke and tar. The tannins remain quite muscular and tannic. This powerful wine needs a few more years in bottle. Anticipated maturity: 2016-2026.

This is definitely a huge cab with plenty of expressive flavors that will just linger on the palate. It was an excellent choice to go along with my steak and cigar! Decant this beast for an hour. (Posted on 1/18/12)
