2009 Shea Wine Cellars Homer Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 750ml
Founded by Dick and Deirdre Shea in 1996, Shea Wine Cellars is a producer of world-class Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, all made from fruit grown on-site at Shea Vineyard. Shea Wine Cellars was a natural outgrowth of Shea Vineyard which was first planted to wine grapes in 1989.
The 200-acre vineyard property lies at the heart of Oregon's Yamhill-Carlton District and supplies fruit to some of Oregon's and California's finest wineries.
ROBERT PARKER RATING: 94ROBERT PARKER REVIEW: There are no such issues regarding the 2009 Pinot Noir Homer, a selection of the best barrels in the cellar. Dense, layered, and plush on the palate, it retains a sense of elegance along with plenty of richness as it sits in the glass. Unlike the 2008 Shea offerings which continue to demand cellaring, these are forward, friendly wines to drink while waiting for the 2008s to strut their stuff.
