2010 Seghesio Cortina Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel 750ml

Quick Overview

Cortina, the dominant soil type of our vineyard, is a gravelly loam that contributes to Dry Creek Valleys reputation as one of the finest places in the world to grow Zinfandel. Good fruit concentration and elegance with supple mid-palate dark fruit. Raspberry, black currant and subtle pomegranate flavors with white chocolate undertones distinguished varietal appeal. Aromas of black raspberry and mineral with a hint of violet. Ripe acidity, integrated tannins and structured to last. There's a 3 bottle Limit Per-Order!

2010 Seghesio Cortina Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel 750ml

Seghesio Family Vineyards' collection of unique sites in North America's finest grape-growing regions did not happen by accident. Rather, they were carefully chosen to produce the highest quality wines. With stewardship of these sites for over a century and a passion to grow some of the world's finest grapes, Seghesio Family Vineyards is honored to share uncommon ground.

WINE ENTHUSIAST RATING: 93

WINE ENTHUSIAST REVIEW: As always, Seghesio’s Cortina is a rich, complex Zinfandel. It captures Zin’s briary, brambly, spicy personality, with dense, wild forest-berry fruit, yet manages to be elegantly compact and even Cabernet-like in its tannin structure. A very classy wine that deserves a spot on the best wine lists.

WINE SPECTATOR RATING: 94

WINE SPECTATOR REVIEW: Dark and intense, yet well-polished, with floral blackberry and pepper aromas and concentrated black cherry, bitter chocolate and black olive flavors that finish with muscular but ripe tannins. Needs time. Best from 2015 through 2022.
