Fruit source 100% from Sangiacomo Family Vineyards the same vineyards used by Rombauer, and winemaker Richard Litsch whom previously was working at Romabuer! On the nose rich tones of honeysuckle, pear, coconut, and vanilla. On the palate tropical notes backed with lively acidity. A beautiful creamy vanilla-oak finish!

2010 Solitude Carneros Chardonnay 750ml

This is my twenty-second vintage of making SOLITUDE Chardonnay. Over this period the wine has developed a reputation for consistency and value. As always our grapes came from four ranches within the Sangiacomo Family Vineyards just south of the Town of Sonoma. This wine exhibits the classic character of the Carneros. Tropical fruit, ripe pear and coconut aromas are complimented by a seamless integrated mouth feel and a long-lasting smooth finish. Enjoy!

I gave this wine a try because the description said similar to Romabuer and my wife happens to love that wine! If your a fan of the Rombauer Chard you will definitely be pleased with Solitude. (Posted on 5/10/12)
