This wine is done by legendary winemaker Paul Hobbs!!! Viña Cobos' most sophisticated Felino malbec yet carries a deep magenta hue and aromas of dark berries and anise. On the palate, intense, pure flavors of justpicked raspberries, black plum and graphite unfold in velvety layers. Exotic notes of ginger and white pepper carry through the mid-palate to intermingle with firm tannins and notes of cedar on the finish.

Viña Cobos Winery faces the Tupungato, the great mountain whose name means Stone Guard in the indigenous language. The design for our state-of-the-art facility uses large, simple, geometric forms; open space and natural light to complement the majesty of the landscape.
Viña Cobos is the inspiration of three enologists implicated in the search for excellence in unique wine making due to its Argentinian characteristic and Californian inheritance.

ROBERT PARKER REVIEW: The 2010 Felino Malbec sports an inviting perfume of cedar, rose petal, spice box, incense, and black cherry. In the glass it opens to reveal a savory, succulent wine with excellent volume and length. This pleasure-bent Malbec is an outstanding value meant for drinking over the next 5-6 years.

Love this wine and for the price I think it’s going to be a tough wine to beat especially for other Malbecs. The wine is bright and shows off lots of black cherry with a finish that lingers. (Posted on 3/7/12)
