Sherman & Hooker's Shebang (Bedrock Wine Co.) Cuvee IV Sonoma Valley Red Blend 750ml
Bedrock is an itsy-bitsy winery making wine in a converted chicken coop. Fruit from only the most excellent vineyard sites is hand pitch-forked into the destemmer, fermented in open top redwood and stainless vats using only native yeasts, and are manually basket pressed by winemaker Morgan Twain-Peterson into the sexiest oak from the coldest French forests.
ROBERT PARKER REVIEW: The NV Shebang IV bursts from the glass with masses of dark, plump fruit. This juicy, mouth-filling red delivers incredible quality for the money in an up-front generous style meant to be enjoyed over the next year or two. The main varieties are Petite Sirah, Syrah and Alicante Bouschet. If there is a better value in California wine, I would like to know about. This is a ridiculously delicious wine for $12 a bottle. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2014.
