CARVER SUTRO NAPA VALLEY
PETITE SIRAH 2004
ROBERT PARKER RATING: 93

ROBERT PARKER REVIEW:
From the northeastern corner of Napa Valley, this Petite Sirah specialist turns out pedal-to-the-metal, powerful, intense wines from this underrated varietal. The 2004 Petite Sirah Palisade Vineyard possesses a blue/black color as well as an exceptional perfume of acacia flowers, crushed rocks, blueberries, blackberries, and incense. Tannic, powerful, full-bodied, and long, it should be cellared for 4-5 years, and consumed over the following 20-25+.
