The 1999 was a fabulous growing year, resulting in full, well balanced wines. The Broman Cabernet Sauvignon is certainly no exception. The aroma of this wine is full of ripe, dark berry with a hint of toasty oak and mocha. There are mouth filling ripe blackberries, cassis, black cherry and wild berry flavors accented by a hint of leather and cedar. The tannins are well integrated, and the long, lingering finish leaves you wanting more.

The 1999 Broman Napa Valley Cabernet was sourced from vineyards located high atop Howell Mountain, as well as from a few small vineyards on the Valley floor. The blend for this wine consists of 78 percent Cabernet Sauvignon, 15 percent Merlot, and 7 percent Cabernet Franc. The wine was aged in French oak for 24 months.
