WINE ENTHUSIAST REVIEW: A well-ripened, opulent wine; it’s huge in blackcurrant and cassis flavors and elaborate oak. You can taste the barrels in the smoke, vanilla and spicy flavors. Acidity hasn’t been integrated yet, nor have the dusty tannins.
WINE SPECTATOR REVIEW: A rich, decadent style, with a loamy core of tannins underneath an equally earthy core of currant, tobacco, leather and spice. Tannins coat the palate on the finish, with plenty of concentrated flavors, but are also dry and potent. Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot.
This is the wineries flagship blend of red Bordeaux varietals: typically two thirds Cabernet Sauvignon with roughly equal parts of Cabernet Franc and Merlot and just a touch of Petit Verdot.
