This wine has a medium deep color. Intense black cherry aromas with some mint nuances. Black cherry, liquorish flavors with some brambly notes, firm dry sappy assertive tannins, but nice core of fruit sweetness with a tannin finish at the end. Enjoy from 2010-2025.

The 2001 vintage was again very good in Heathcote, producing another typical example of this wine ie sweet red berries and spices on the nose and palate with an almost thick, tongue coating viscosity and lovely rounded tannins. As usual, approachable from now on, particularly if decanted, but long cellaring will reward. 14.5% alc/vol
