WINE SPECTATOR REVIEW: Smooth-textured, with a touch of caramel woven into the fabric of earthy currant and anise. Well-focused and balanced, with espresso and cedary oak flavors, finishing with tight, dry tannins.
Aromas are concentrated and spicy, with intense layering of black fruit, blackberry and cassis, topped with touches of vanilla, toast, and dried herbs. On the palate powerful and ripe with currant, blackberry and cassis flavors. Rich and mouth-filling, with great presence; supple tannins lead into a long, lingering finish.
