ROBERT PARKER REVIEW: An excellent value, the deep ruby-hued 2003 Brave Faces (a 2,000-case blend of 65% Shiraz and 35% Grenache from Barossa) boasts terrific fruit intensity along with gorgeous aromas of raspberries, black currants, and cherries. Grenache’s kirsch/licorice component is nicely balanced by the blacker fruit character and smokier notes of Shiraz.

Bright ruby in colour. Bouyant raspberry, red-cherry aromas with cracked peppery tones. Succulent damson and refreshing strawberry, cranberry like flavours. Restrained savoury, sage and bay leaf characters with earthy textures, grainy tannins and shadowy oak to season.
