2004 Spring Valley Estate Uriah Walla Walla Valley Red Wine
SKU #500534
A nose of complex dark fruit with hints of cedar, crushed stone, an dry herbs leads into black fruit, licorice, and grenadine syrup on the palate. The perfectly integrated oak leaves no edge and the huge tannins are packed and concentrated but melt on the mouth. This wine has great aging potential and can be enjoyed now or it can age gracefully in the cellar.

ROBERT PARKER RATING: 93
ROBERT PARKER REVIEW: The 2004 Uriah is 60% Merlot, 31% Cabernet Franc, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 4% Petit Verdot. Dark ruby-colored, it delivers a splendid perfume of pain grille, red currants, and black cherry. Structured and rich, with gobs of ripe fruit, this lengthy wine does a splendid impersonation of a Saint-Emilion Grand Cru.
WINE SPECTATOR RATING: 93
WINE SPECTATOR REVIEW: Lithe, refined and deftly balanced to show off its smoky blueberry compote and cherry flavors, which last on the long, expressive finish. The tannins are refined, but tightly packed. Needs time in the cellar to flower. Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot.
Spring Valley Vineyard was established in 1993 on wheat land in Spring Valley, Walla Walla County; land that has been farmed by the Corkrum family for five generations. Evaluation of the terroir revealed an excellent environment for growing wine grapes. With elevation between 1,200 and 1,500 feet, today Spring Valley maintains a fortyacre vineyard made up of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Malbec, and Syrah.
