ROBERT PARKER REVIEW: The 2006 Pinot Noir Willamette Valley is medium ruby-colored with an expressive nose of smoke, spice box, cherry, and raspberry. On the palate it has layers of sweet fruit, a bit of structure, good depth, and a friendly disposition.
STEVE TANZAR REVIEW: Vivid red. A powerfully scented bouquet evokes wild strawberry, raspberry, incense and fresh flowers. Light in body but deep in sweet red and dark berry flavor, with a refreshingly bitter cherry skin quality adding grip. Finishes with a strong echo of cherry and very good clinging persistence.
The nose has creamy red fruit and cherry liqueur mingled with toasted coffee bean and dried rose petal. Flavors are silky and seductive: red cherry, dried red cherry, a tiny hint of cranberry, and a nice acidity that keeps flavors lively The finish features very fine tannins, a medium long finish that reiterates the toasted coffee bean, bittersweet chocolate, red raspberry, dried red cherry, and dried rose petal, with a hint of herbal/spice of white pepper and wild mint.
