2008 Two Hands Bella's Garden Barossa Valley Shiraz
SKU #500785
Wine Spectator Top 100: 2010 #2! Deep and impenetrable, red to black color. Aromas are lifted aromas of deep red fruits, plums, cinnamon, licorice and earthy spice. Underneath subtle notes of chocolate, tar and moss complete the bouquet. On the palate the wine is robust and rich with a balance that exemplifies the hallmarks of the finest Barossa vineyards. Red fruits and plums dominate a tight palate with earthy char and chocolate that then finishes long with fine tannins and bright acidity. Will drink well now and will improve with medium term cellaring.

WINE SPECTATOR REVIEW: Dark and dense, but emerges with vivid color and bright flavors of raspberry, black cherry and a hint of peach, beautifully tinged with cocoa, licorice and mineral notes as the finish sails on impressively.
Crushed and fermented in 5, 7 and 10 tonne open top fermenters with three regular pump overs during peak fermentation to extract colour and tannin. Ferments receive between 7 to 21 days maceration on skins, before the dry free run is drained to tank and the pressings combined. After 24 hours the wine is then racked to barrel. Malolactic fermentation takes place in barrel. Minimal fining and unfiltered.
