2019 Thibault Liger-Belair Gevrey-Chambertin La Crox Des Champs 750ml
Winery Notes- Aromas of tobacco leaf nose. On the palate, very sweet and candied chocolate and licorice without any tannins. Very grapey, with some jammy strawberry flavors and lots of juicy acidity on the finish.

VINOUS REVIEW: From the bottom side of the commune, the 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin Croix des Champs includes 55–60% of whole cluster. It has a clean, precise bouquet of perfumed red cherry and raspberry fruit, displaying commendable mineralité. The harmonious palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins and brambly red fruit laced with white pepper toward the elegant finish. Promising.
ALLEN MEADOWS -BURGHOUND REVIEW: This is openly floral with its pretty and relatively high-toned nose of fresh red currant, pomegranate and herbal tea aromas that are trimmed in a hint of the sauvage. The lively and sleekly textured middle weight flavors exude a subtle bead of minerality on the well-delineated yet supple finish that is supported by dusty tannins on the slightly warm finale. This is a very good Gevrey villages that isn't quite so structured but one that will still need at least a modicum of patience.
