Winery Notes- The 2021 II Squared Red is comprised of all five Bordeaux varietals; it's Cabernet Sauvignon-driven, with touches of Malbec, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot to bring out the nuances in the blend. Aged in 25% new oak, the wine is inviting and expressive on the nose, showing aromatics of red cherries, blackcurrants, rose petals, cigar boxes, baking spices, and wet slate. On the palate, spicy red plum, nutmeg and molasses greet gentle, soft tannins, and a balanced, flavorful finish.
