Winery Notes- Hanzell “Sebella” is crafted from the younger within our Day and Zellerbach vineyard blocks with an average vine age by volume of 15 years. Fermented in stainless steel and aged in neutral French oak barrels for six months, Hanzell “Sebella” captures our classic minerality, bright fruit, and signature aroma of Chardonnay flowers in bloom.
Fresh, sunny citrus, Granny smith apple and green apple skin beautifully complement the crushed mineral and Douglas Fir on the nose. With a bright yet silky texture, the medium-bodied palate shines with notes of kumquat, grapefruit, chamomile, and honeysuckle ending in a tremendous, mineral and lemony finish.
