Ruinart Brut Blanc de Blancs Champagne
SKU #503936
The wine shows a superb, golden yellow color with a beautiful luminosity and a fine and persistent mousse. The nose is clean and intense with warm, rich notes of brioche, French toast and roasted almonds. On the palate the wine is very supple and harmonious, with notes of honey and minerals on the long, sustained finish. Ruinart Blanc de Blancs is produced from a blend of 100% premiers crus Chardonnay grapes from the best of recent vintages. Grapes from the estate vineyards in Sillery and Brimont (ancestral home of the Ruinart family) are joined by carefully selected grapes from other premiers crus vineyards in the Côte de Blancs and the Montagne de Reims.

JOHN GILMAN: 92
JOHN GILMAN REVIEW: The current release of Dom Ruinart’s non-vintage Blanc de Blancs is from the base year of 2019. It was disgorged in November of 2022, after two and a half years aging sur latte and finished with a dosage of seven grams per liter. The bouquet is bright and expressive, offering up scents of lemon, pear, a lovely base of chalky minerality, bread dough and a topnote of white lilies. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, focused and complex, with a lovely core, good soil undertow, elegant mousse and a long, well-balanced and impressively complex finish. This is drinking very nicely already, but seems likely to be even more tasty a year or two down the road, for those inclined to cellar non-vintage bubbly.
JAMES SUCKLING RATING: 93
JAMES SUCKLING REVIEW: Brimming with pear, white peach and citrus fruit this enchanting Blanc de Blancs is so bright and succulent and is very hard to resist. I love the very long, silky and clean finish which has beautiful balance. Really fine mousse. Drink now.
ROBERT PARKER RATING: 90
ROBERT PARKER REVIEW: The latest rendition of Ruinart's NV Blanc de Blancs unwinds in the glass with scents of citrus zest, green apple, white flowers and fresh bread. Medium to full-bodied, pillowy and incisive, with a vibrant core of fruit and brisk acids, complemented by a mouth-filling mousse, it concludes with a saline finish.
STEVE TANZAR RATING: 92
STEVE TANZAR REVIEW: Pale yellow. Complex, high-pitched aromas of orange zest, lemon pith, iodine, smoky minerals, anise and jasmine. Sappy and tactile on the palate, offering impressive volume to its ripe citrus and orchard fruit flavors accented by smoke and minerals. Finishes tangy and long, with lingering smokiness and an echo of anise.
WINE ENTHUSIAST RATING: 93
WINE ENTHUSIAST REVIEW: Ruinart’s Blanc de Blancs is structured and intensely minerally, but with a rich, full, creamy palate. It is finely balanced—elegant yet fruity—with a bright, crisp aftertaste. Drink now.
WINE SPECTATOR RATING: 93
WINE SPECTATOR REVIEW: Beautifully balanced and refined in texture, this displays exotic ground spice and floral accents to the flavors of poached white peach, Meyer lemon and candied ginger, with hints of pastry and honey. Offers a lasting, mouthwatering finish. Drink now through 2023.
