Ruinart Brut Blanc de Blancs Champagne 750ml
The wine shows a superb, golden yellow color with a beautiful luminosity and a fine and persistent mousse. The nose is clean and intense with warm, rich notes of brioche, French toast and roasted almonds. On the palate the wine is very supple and harmonious, with notes of honey and minerals on the long, sustained finish. Ruinart Blanc de Blancs is produced from a blend of 100% premiers crus Chardonnay grapes from the best of recent vintages. Grapes from the estate vineyards in Sillery and Brimont (ancestral home of the Ruinart family) are joined by carefully selected grapes from other premiers crus vineyards in the Côte de Blancs and the Montagne de Reims.

ROBERT PARKER REVIEW: The Ruinart NV Brut Blanc de Blancs LAHMTA1JE is appealing in a rather simple, fresh apple and lemonade way – attractively garlanded in honeysuckle and heliotrope – its dominantly fruity character arguably influenced by the high proportion lots from Champagne’s relatively outlying Sezanne and Vallee de la Vesle, and certainly by the completion of malo-lactic conversion. A salty tang and piquant twist of lemon rind lend some invigoration to the finish and help temper the surprisingly noticeable sweetening effect of nine grams residual sugar. This is definitely for consumption over the coming year.
STEVE TANZAR REVIEW: Pale yellow. Complex, high-pitched aromas of orange zest, lemon pith, iodine, smoky minerals, anise and jasmine. Sappy and tactile on the palate, offering impressive volume to its ripe citrus and orchard fruit flavors accented by smoke and minerals. Finishes tangy and long, with lingering smokiness and an echo of anise.
WINE ENTHUSIAST REVIEW: Ruinart’s Blanc de Blancs is structured and intensely minerally, but with a rich, full, creamy palate. It is finely balanced—elegant yet fruity—with a bright, crisp aftertaste. Drink now.
WINE SPECTATOR REVIEW: Beautifully balanced and refined in texture, this displays exotic ground spice and floral accents to the flavors of poached white peach, Meyer lemon and candied ginger, with hints of pastry and honey. Offers a lasting, mouthwatering finish. Drink now through 2023.
The House of Ruinart is unlike any other. It was the first established Champagne House in 1729 and inspired by the intuition of a monk well ahead of his time…
