Ruinart Brut Rosé Champagne 750ml

Quick Overview

Intense, fruity and aromatic, Ruinart Rosé owes its sensual elegance to the marriage of Chardonnay (45%), mainly from the Chardonnay Premiers Crus of the Côte des Blancs, and Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims and Vallée de la Marne, made into red wine. The nose is fresh and subtle, ripe with cherry and freshly picked red berries, followed by a splash of flowers and spicy notes On the palate, the wine is silky and delicately fleshy.

Ruinart Brut Rosé Champagne 750ml

The House of Ruinart is unlike any other. It was the first established Champagne House in 1729 and inspired by the intuition of a monk well ahead of his time…

ROBERT PARKER REVIEW: Ruinart’s NV Brut Rose LAHLFA9HB – just over half of which is Pinot, and close to 20% of which constituted red wine – offers almost kir-like scents (I beg that this not be taken as derogatory!) of fresh apple infused with framboise liqueur. A tang of fresh (and, naturally, prominently seedy) pomegranate and a bittersweet twist of orange rind lend vivacity and invigoration while helping balance the wine’s roughly nine grams of residual sugar, leading to a finish of delightful and unabashed fruitiness allied to subtle sweetness. Amusingly, here is both a relatively rare instance of the premium that is asked by a famous Grand Marque for rose being modest, as well as of its being qualitatively justified. Enjoy this one over the coming year.

STEVE TANZAR RATING: 92

STEVE TANZAR REVIEW: Bright orange-pink. Spice-accented aromas and flavors of red berries, cherry and candied rose, with a smoky nuance building with air. Juicy and precise, with more energy and cut than last year's release. Finishes long, with very good energy, leaving spice and floral notes behind.

WINE & SPIRITS RATING: 93

WINE & SPIRITS REVIEW: This deep pink rosé starts off from a delicate scent of spice and roses, strawberries and the freshly turned earth of a garden. It grows more powerful and grand with air, building fresh raspberry Pinot vinosity, a fragrant essence of limestone and fruit that lasts.

WINE SPECTATOR RATING: 93

WINE SPECTATOR REVIEW: There's lovely precision to the integration of this elegant rosé, offering a fine backbone of acidity and a light mousse. The flavors of poached pear, black cherry, fleur de sel, lemon zest and ginger are finely meshed, with a subtle vein of smoky minerality. Drink now through 2023.
