Leopold Bros. 8 Year Old Colorado Straight Bourbon Whiskey
Distillery Notes- The Leopold Bros 8 year old cask strength Bourbon is not just the oldest whiskey we’ve released in our history, it’s also the highest in proof. We fill all of our barrels at 50% ABV and, over the course of just a few years in our earthen-floor, dunnage-style warehouse, we don’t see much fluctuation in proof. However, after 8 years of steady maturation, we’re starting to see a bit more evaporation of water, leading to an increase in alcohol percentage, which makes this cask strength release of our Bourbon quite an anomaly.$59.903 -
Frank August Case Study: 04 Double Oak Barrel Proofed Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey & Rye Whiskey
Distillery Notes- CASE STUDY: 04 is a blend of double oaked KSBW and double oaked KSRW. Each 4-barrel batch is blended with 2x double oaked KSBW barrels and 2x double oaked KSRW barrels, inspiring the designation '4X Oaked'. STORY: What makes this release so distinctive is the "PROOFED IN BARREL" process the brand has introduced with this expression. Instead of proofing in tanks prior to bottling, at the time of the 2nd barrel fill, Frank August "PROOFED IN BARREL," so at the point of maturation, each barrel would be 95 proof. Each secondary barrel was then aged an additional 12-14 months before being dumped and batched. The result is a beautiful, full, and complex whiskey. This considered process underscores Frank August's dedication to crafting distinctive and innovative "one-of-one" expressions of American whiskey. APPEARANCE: TA rich walnut tone with generous, viscous legs that decorate the glass. The depth of color reflects the multi double oaked, '4X Oaked', barrel finish. NOSE: An intricate bouquet opens with sweet vanilla and baking spices, quickly deepened by the sharpness of rye and an alluring touch of warm oak. Hints of brown sugar, dried fruits, and a whisper of leather emerge as the aromas evolve, adding richness and depth to the already well-balanced nose. PALATE: The first sip envelops the palate in a velvety sweetness, with caramelized sugars and baked apple bursting at the front. This warmth is quickly met by vibrant rye spices, while subtle notes of toasted almonds, buttery toffee, and clove surface. The mid-palate introduces a refreshing layer of mint and mild pepper, enhancing the complexity, before all the flavors harmonize into a balanced, full-bodied experience. FINISH: At 95 proof, the finish is unexpectedly long and evolving. Notes of mint chocolate and gentle cinnamon linger, as faint traces of dark roasted coffee and spiced oak quietly build. With each sip, the finish becomes more nuanced, inviting another pour to explore the harmony of flavors that continue to develop over time.$129.903 -
Frank August 7 Year Old Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
Distillery Notes- APPEARANCE: A deep auburn with full, viscous legs that glaze the glass. NOSE: Frank August's Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon opens with a range of beautiful baking spices and notes of oak and fruit, before elements of vanilla and cacao begin to present themselves. PALATE: The baking spices are more pronounced, with cinnamon coming forward initially, before rye spices begin to gradually introduce themselves, warmly coating your mouth. At proofs between 114.6 - 125.4, there's an intensity that is exceptionally balanced by some of the sweet vanilla and caramel notes you initially pick up on the nose. FINISH: A long balanced finish that continues to develop between each taste. As the cask strength begins to wane, you'll continue to pick up baking spices and hints of black cherries and cacao, layered between subtle notes of oak and vanilla.$129.903 -

Horse Soldier Reserve Barrel Strength Bourbon Whiskey
96 points, Ultimate Spirits Challenge Top 100 of 2020 An incredible story of heroism underlies the American Freedom "Horse Soldier" Whiskies. The first 12 men into Afghanistan, some of America's most elite special forces, after 9/11 began the fight against the Taliban atop horses in the rugged terrain. While all 12 of those men survived their initial tour, some gave their life in service of our country on subsequent missions. Those that came home, after leaving the military many years later, began the American Freedom Distillery. The numerous ways in which this project harks back to 9/11 and the sacrifice these men made defending America are incredible. The detail that stands out most is that their bottle mold is made from recycled steel salvaged from the Twin Towers. In the booze world, there are a lot of good stories, some more true than others. The Horse Soldier whiskies have come together by the hands of legendary men looking to make a legendary spirit. The barrel strength bottling has a mash bill of 68% corn, 22% wheat, and 10% barley. Aged in level 4 char American oak barrels, it presents a nose of caramel, honey, butterscotch, and a deep spice. Each batch is different in proof, but all are true cask strength and over 55% abv.$83.901 -
Booker's Springfield Batch #2024-01 Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
Distillery Notes- The first Booker’s batch of 2024 is called the Springfield Batch to honor my dad’s hometown of Springfield, Kentucky. This rural town in central Kentucky is where Booker Noe, my dad was born and raised. He worked on many farms when he was growing up, from the hay fields to tobacco patches. The batch is made up of 5 production dates stored in 4 different aging warehouses. The age is 7 years, 7 Months, 8 days and is 124.5 proof. The breakdown of barrel storage for Booker’s “Springfield Batch” is as follows: 17% came from the 5th floor of 9-story warehouse G 7% came from the 4th floor of 9-story warehouse H 31% came from the 5th floor of 7-story warehouse Z 45% came from the 4th floor of 7-story warehouse 3 The color of this Booker’s batch is a rich golden amber from over 7 years of aging in the new white oak barrels. The nose has a nice, pleasant aroma of sweet brown sugars and vanilla. The taste is balanced with a pleasant heat. The finish is long and warm which I appreciated during the cold days we experienced in January here in Kentucky. I know Dad would love tasting this batch and sharing stories about his hometown. I hope you enjoy this first batch of Booker’s for 2024.$99.906
