Winery Notes- The object of Pleiades is to be delicious, delight the jaded, irritate the wine police and go well with anything red wine goes well with. Each component is crafted and aged in small quantities by traditional Thackrey artisanal practices. We produce premium single-sourced varietal wines, then age them individually before blending them into the final composition. Sangiovese, Tempranillo, Carignane, Pinot Noir, Viongier, and Petite Sirah all play a role in this performance. Fragrant and voluptuous when first released, it will become far more subtle and complex with age, as of course, we all will: but such restraint may be too much to ask. When first opened, perfumed dark fruits fill your glass and are followed by a brightly focused core of red berries, baking spice, and juicy acidity. 2021 Hitching Post Hometown Central Coast Pinot Noir
Winery Notes- The 2021 “Hometown” is a pretty, lavish wine graced with bright raspberry and ripe red cherry fruit, a gentle spiciness, an obvious earthiness, and wonderful acidity that makes for a lively palate impression in a medium bodied style. It is drinking beautifully now and will age nicely over the next 5 years. Vineyard sites are Kick-On Ranch, Rio Vista and Quinta del Mar Vineyards, bringing together bouncy acidity and riper berry qualities. Aged 11 months in older French oak barrels.$19.9022 -
2022 Tenuta Di Salviano Castello Di Titignano Turlo Umbria Rosso
The Turlo vineyards are located on the hills of Lake Corbara’s northern bank at 150 to 380 meters in elevation. The generally southern exposure varies by vineyard site. The soil is rich in red clay, tufa (a limestone common to central Italy) and small pebbles. The grapes are harvested by hand at optimum ripeness to ensure a rich, concentrated finished wine. Each grape variety is fermented separately in small, temperature-controlled steel tanks. A maceration period with frequent pumping over is followed by malolactic fermentation. A small amount of the wine is aged in French oak barriques prior to blending and bottling for added complexity. A rich pomegranate in color, the wine shows complex, intense ripe fruit aromas. This full-bodied wine is the Umbrian answer to the Super Tuscan.$16.9020 -

2020 Sella & Mosca Cannonau Riserva
Winery Notes- Cannonau is the oenological nexus of Sardinia, and perhaps of the entire mediterranean basin. Sella & Mosca lavishes extra care on it, cultivating it in the warm and sandy seaside vineyards and the harsh and rocky inland soils of the hills. It is fermented and macerated on the skins and aged in oak barrels for at least 6 months, then cellared for 2 years, which favors the development of its classic mediterranean characters. The ruby red color with garnet hues, translucent and brilliant, announces bright, mature and refined aromas. The fresh scent of violet is perfectly integrated by notes of jam, plums, blackcurrants and oriental spices. The palate is solid, well structured and warm in its embrace, but always well-balanced, thanks also to fresh bursts of balsam and medicinal herbs and berries. 2023 Bodegas Muga Rioja Rosado
Winery Notes- The Muga Rosado 2023 vintage is notable for its pale pink colour. It has a very intense, complex nose, with an initial sensation of peaches, apricots and white blossom. On the palate, it is very well balanced with the acidity integrated with the sensation of volume in the mouth and a very long finish which brings back the reminders of stone fruit and some citrus nuances. Winery Notes- This 100% Pinot Noir cuvée reflects the cool and windy microclimate of the Sonoma Coast AVA. The climate and terroir here provide ideal conditions for low yields (equating to more flavor intensity) and longer hangtimes (allowing Pinot Noir grapes to reach maturity while retaining their natural acidity and preserving the bright flavors of red cherries and raspberries). We ensure the elegant expression in this Pinot Noir by aging in large neutral oak casks, stainless steel, and older French oak barrels to keep new oak flavors to a minimum.
