2020 Chateau de Rouanne Vinsobres
Château de Rouanne is a historic estate with a 12th century medieval castle, situated on a classified Roman site located in the southern Rhône Valley. The name of the estate comes from "Rugius", which is said to be the name of the original Roman owner. The estate totals 177 acres (72 hectares), including 153 acres (62 hectares) of vines. Château de Rouanne was purchased by Louis Barruol, owner and winemaker of Château de Saint Cosme, in May of 2019. Barruol sees enormous potential in Château de Rouanne, having worked with the previous owners for years as a source for some of his négociant wines. “It reminds me a lot of Saint Cosme when I took it over in 1992. It’s an unknown sleeping beauty waiting for a vigneron to truly love it.”$19.908 -

Winery Notes- A joint venture between Adrianna Catena, daughter of Nicolas Catena, and Alejandro Vigil, Chief Winemaker at Bodega Catena Zapata, El Enemigo Malbec is produced at Piedemonte al Sur, located in the southern foothills of Uco Valley, Mendoza. The facility is named for the unique aspect of Mendoza's high altitude winemaking region nestled in the foothills of the Andes Mountains. Rich and concentrated, it offers aromas of black fruit, cherry and dark berry fruit on the nose followed in the palate by a full-bodied wine with flavors of spice, blackberry, black cherry, pepper and a slight floral character. Winery Notes- Cannonau is the oenological nexus of Sardinia, and perhaps of the entire mediterranean basin. Sella & Mosca lavishes extra care on it, cultivating it in the warm and sandy seaside vineyards and the harsh and rocky inland soils of the hills. It is fermented and macerated on the skins and aged in oak barrels for at least 6 months, then cellared for 2 years, which favors the development of its classic mediterranean characters. The ruby red color with garnet hues, translucent and brilliant, announces bright, mature and refined aromas. The fresh scent of violet is perfectly integrated by notes of jam, plums, blackcurrants and oriental spices. Bright with a deeply concentrated purple/ruby core that lightens at the rim, with persistent, thick, slow-forming tears that stain the glass as they form. It obtained the DOCG in 1980 and today it is considered one of the most prestigious Italian red wine. Vino Nobile has a ruby red color of good concentration, intense aroma with evident fruity notes and hints of wild berries, cherry and vanilla. In the mouth is full and round, persistent with a good tannic component.
