Winery Notes- Our aim with our Sa Our aim with our Santa Barbara County Syrah is to capture a precociously drinkable expression of the region’s cool-climate vineyards. This wine is just that. The 2022 vintage gave us a hot September, so there’s a deep and ample ripeness to this bottling. Still, our coastal vineyards held onto their earthy and savory Syrah qualities. The varietal fragrance is striking and pungent. There’s a complex profile of incense, suede leather, balsamic, and spicy root beer botanicals, while a deep layer of mocha and plum promises rich pleasure for the mouth. It for the mouth. 2022 Myriad Lewelling Ranch Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Winery Notes- Lewelling Vineyards farms one of the oldest continuously-owned family vineyards in the Napa Valley. What is just as remarkable is that the Lewelling family has stayed true to their strong agricultural roots generation after generation. The fifth and sixth generations are now running Lewelling Vineyards and the seventh generation is already running among the vines. The vineyard is located in one of the Napa Valley’s historical neighborhoods with the whose who of on each side of the estate – including the Hayne Vineyard, Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard, Beckstoffer Bourn, and the old Edge Hill property. The vineyard is eighty planted acres located at the base of the Mayacamas mountains in St. Helena. Because of its proximity to the slopes, the vineyard has benefited from thousands of years of soil erosion coming down from the hillsides. While the soils are not nearly as deep as further out in the valley floor, quantity of production is not necessarily as important when your focus is on making premium wine. For this type of wine, these alluvial deposits/bench land type soils are ideal. This part of Napa is one of the sweet spots for growing high quality Cabernet Sauvignon. Winery Notes- The 2022 bursts out of the glass with a beam of dark raspberry, pomegranate, orange zest, and black trumpet mushroom aromas. In addition to the fruit aromas, a little tea, sour cherry, brass, and bark frame the wine in the aftertaste and finishes with our hallmark fresh acidity making you salivate. The West Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir is 81% Estate fruit and 19% fruit from our neighbor, Richardson Vineyard, who grows grapes for us and provides grazing sheep for weed control. The other wineries who buy fruit from this vineyard have already vineyard-designated their Richardson wines and charge up to 2x the price of our West Sonoma Coast Pinot. Just saying. The 2022 bursts out of the glass with a beam of dark raspberry, pomegranate, orange zest, and black trumpet mushroom aromas. Where the 2021 was more reserved in the nose the 2022 has more impact. The flavors are seamless on the palate and not at all disjointed despite its youthfulness. In addition to the fruit aromas above, a little tea, sour cherry, brass, and bark frame the wine in the aftertaste and finishes with our hallmark fresh acidity making you salivate. This is not a heavy or rich wine and has intensity and power without fat. I expect it will age as long as you desire. Serve with seared fish, meat, anything with a little caramelization.$49.9022 -

Winery Notes- Four plots across two vineyards contributed to this wine. From the Green Island, at the southern mouth of the Napa River, where the water spills into the San Pablo/San Francisco Bay, comes the prettiness of clone 115 and power of clone 667. Stanly Ranch, in Carneros just northwest across the Napa River from Green Island, provides clone 114 structure and robustness of clone 777. What a wine this 2021 Road 31 Napa Valley Pinot Noir is. Imagine Harry Potter, Gal Gadot, Elvis (the early days, not the donut-eating-sequin-wings years), and a 1962 Ferrari GTO all wrapped together in velour. Pull the cork and you may find yourself suddenly reciting Shakespearean sonnets from memory, understanding string theory, and feeling an inexplicable desire — and capability — to dance the tango like a blind Al Pacino.
