2023 Ojai Clima Frío Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir
Winery Notes- This 2023 Pinot Noir is the first of our new Clima Frío series, and we’re elated by what a dramatic and aromatic debut this is. This bottling cobbles together fruit grown in the Santa Maria Valley and just outside the Sta. Rita Hills. The wine is packed with earthy nuance while sporting lots of juicy, spicy fruit. It pulls you in with its wild aroma, which has pretty notes of dried rose, spice box, orange peel, and black tea. Then you’ll find it’s a just a joy to drink—juicy with ripe berries and cherry, refreshingly mineral, and there’s a fine spicy astringency that builds in the mid-palate onward. There’s lots of substance here, but it’s also a wine that’s very easy to enjoy a second glass.Rating(s)$39.9012 -

2023 Berger Grüner Veltliner
Erich Berger is a humble grower in the Kremstal, located in the village of Gedersdorf. A Majority of the vineyards that he farms are devoted to Grüner Veltliner, the principle white variety of the Danube river valley. “Erich no doubt suffers from journalistic underappreciation compared with his immediate neighbors” writes David Schilknecht in Vinous. Erich has become an ambassador for sustainable agriculture, becoming a member of Fair’n Green, a sustainable organization with members in France, Germany and Austria. Erich’s Liter bottling of Grüner Veltliner has steadily improved over the last decade and is now one of the very best that we offer. It’s a perfect foil for the infectious drinkability that this variety is known for but has an extra level of clarity and complexity that is sometimes missing from this category. Fermented entirely in stainless steel from estate grown. Loess dominated vineyards in the Kremstal.$12.9024 -

2023 Domaine Daulny Sancerre
Etienne Daulny owns 15 hectares of vines that are divided into about 50 different plots within the Sancerre wine region. Daulny combines diverse plots from varying types of soil, including clay and flint, Portlandian and Kimmeridgian, into his regular cuvée of Sancerre. But Daulny's cuvée normale is far from normal. After all, grapes from some of the appellation’s most revered vineyards make their way into this cuvée, including old vine plantings at Les Monts Damnés, Les Bois Butteux, and La Perriere. Clos de Chaudenay (the hot spot) is a single vineyard cuvée from a gentle slope just above Verdigny. These southwest facing vines average 40 years of age. Etienne Daulny makes the style of Sancerre I can’t get enough of; clean, juicy and racy. Melon, grapefruit and gooseberry with aromas of green pea and spearmint. The vibrant nature of this wine makes it one of the most versatile on the planet. Great with all types or Seafood, soft cheeses and chicken dishes!! -Eric Entrikin-Master Sommelier$24.9023 -
