2019 Villa Antinori Chianti Classico Riserva
Winery Notes- Overall, the 2019 growing season in Chianti Classico followed normal weather patterns. The winter months were relatively cold with limited precipitation while the beginning of spring brought cold temperatures and rain showers, especially during Apri land May. Summer was hot but was uninterrupted by intense heat events and saw slightly higher than average rainfall that allowed regular vine and cluster growth and development. Beautiful weather began at the end of August and lasted through the months of September and October giving all grape varieties plenty of time to progress to optimal maturity. The grapes were harvested under ideal climatic conditions starting mid-September with Sangiovese and was brought to a conclusion on October 11th.$29.909 -

2019 Castello di Monsanto Chianti Classico Riserva (Was $32)
Winery Notes- After a cold winter, which helps to prevent diseases that affect the vines, the spring rains allowed for the creation of important water reserves, suitable for facing a moderately hot summer characterized by low rainfall. The climate, on average, more rigid and humid in the first half of the year "slightly delayed the vegetative cycle of the vine compared to the last few years, with a rhythm of the times reminiscent of the great years of the 1980s. In a hot but regular summer without particular heat peaks or abundant rainfall, a September characterized by good weather and large temperature variations followed, which allowed the perfect phenolic ripening of the grapes. 2019 is already a vintage with an outstanding capacity for ageing.$24.9014 -
