2019 Brane-Cantenac Margaux
Winery Notes- 2019 was a year for great terroirs. That year was hot. The mild winter temperatures led to an early bud break. Flowering took place in early June in cool, humid conditions. Then two heat waves during summer favoured a strong water deficit which allowed the arrest of the vegetative growth and the ripening of the grapes. Thanks to the cool summer nights and the mild September weather conditions, the grapes were perfectly healthy. Our terrace 4’s clay-gravel sub-soil enabled extraordinary ripening. The grand vin comes from the most beautiful plots on that terrace.$79.909 -
2019 d'Issan Margaux
Château d’Issan is a Third Growth of the 1855 Imperial Classification. The wine is made from the old vines in the Château d’Issan enclosure in the middle of the Margaux appellation. The soil here is mainly made up of surface gravel on top of a clay subsoil, which contributes to optimal ripeness and freshness in our two grape varieties, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Château d’Issan expresses the exquisite bouquet so characteristic of Margaux, and stands out with its suppleness, subtlety, elegance and long keeping potential that come from its unique terroir. Château d’Issan is aged in barrels for 16 to 18 months, half of which are new. Annual production is around 100,000 bottles.$72.909 -

Pierre de Lhomme, Marc Promis, Jean-Pierre Pescatore, Edouard Cruse, Nicolas Tari and now the Albada Jelgersma family – all ambitious and visionary estate owners who were passionate about pulling together the estate’s land and giving this vineyard, named a Third Grand Cru Classé in 1855, a reputation for excellence.$69.9015 -
2019 Labégorce Margaux
Bordering on châteaux Margaux and Lascombes, this property is mentioned in the 1868 edition of Cocks and Feret (“Bordeaux and its Wines”), which tells us of the existence since 1332 of “a vineyard belonging to the noble La Bégorce family”. The château is described as “... one of the most beautiful and best situated in the town of Margaux”. The Perrodo family acquired Labégorce in 1989 and renovated not only the château building, but also the vineyard. They also improved winemaking, and Labégorce is now a charming wine with beautiful structure, bright fruit, and great finesse. The Perrodo family also acquired in 2006 Château Marquis d’Alesme, a third growth Margaux, which they aim to transform into one of the jewels of the appellation.$39.9021
