2016 López de Heredia Viña Gravonia Crianza Blanco Rioja
Winery Notes- As “natural” a wine as any hipster newcomer, this entirely traditional rendition of Viura (aka Macabeo) is aged for four years in the house-made American oak barrels, fined with egg-whites, racked twice annually, bottled unfiltered and left another 4-plus years before commercial release. The result is a pale wonder of insurgent aromatic glory, tranquil complexity and endless length. Drink it now or keep it 30 more years.$47.905 -
2016 López de Heredia Viña Cubillo Crianza Rioja
Winery Notes- Redolent of red fruits, tomato and mint, equal parts rustic and refined, this earthy, lively red bears no resemblance to the current “international” style of Rioja, nor to the pale, oaky, “smooth” overcropped wines of the 1970’s. Cubillo stands out in today’s wine universe for the mannerliness and clarity of its expression and its unmistakable class.$25.906 -
2023 Txomin Etxaniz Txakolina Getariako
#62 Wine Spectator Top 100 of 2024 Winery Notes- Made up almost entirely of Hondarrabi Zuri, with the remaining Hondarrabi Beltza, the grapes come from Ametz Mendi and a handful of other historic vineyards within Getaria of Getariako Txakolina DO. The vines were planted from 1915 to 2000 upon beds of sandy, chalky loam. The winery sorts and selects for the healthiest grapes. Following a cold maceration, the grapes are destemmed and pressed in a closed pneumatic press. The fermentation is done by selected indigenous yeast and is maintained at very low temperatures to retain some dissolved CO2. The wine ages for six months in stainless steel sur lie before bottling.Rating(s)$19.9024+ -
2020 Marqués de Murrieta Reserva Rioja

Straightforward and precise with a juicy fruity profile, moulded by fine tannins and a fresh, pleasant finish.$24.9024+ -
Lustau Manzanilla Papirusa Sherry
Winery Notes- Aged following a biological ageing, under a veil of yeast called “flor” in the cool, humid, salty air of Sanlúcar de Barrameda, a fishing town on the estuary of the Guadalquivir river. Bright yellow colour with golden reflections. This Manzanilla is laced with sea breeze scents and pleasant chamomile and flor aromas. Bone dry and light, fresh and crisp, with a hint of sea salt on the palate. Delicate and refreshingly acid with a lingering aftertaste. Papirusa means “elegant and beautiful”. It was the name of the doll that Emilio Lustau gave the daughter of Joaquín Burgos, first manager of Bodegas Lustau in the ’40s.$15.9010 -
Lustau Fino Jarana Sherry
Winery Notes- Pale straw colour with greenish reflections, bright and clean. This is a Jerez style Fino: fresh, mineral and pungent on the nose with almonds and bakery notes. Dry and crisp on the palate, yet rich and with a full finish. Aged under a veil of yeast, called “flor”, in Bodega Las Cruces in Jerez de la Frontera. The inland climate in the town of Jerez de la Frontera provides a more rounded and fuller style of wine.Rating(s)$15.9012 -

2019 Casa Castillo Las Gravas Jumilla
Not surprisingly, Las Gravas comes from a profoundly rocky, single vineyard of the same name. You’d also be hard-pressed to call it soil since before you can get to anything resembling dirt, you have to go through a foot of stones. Here Jose Maria and his father planted Monastrell, and Garnacha, each of which contributes to the final blend of Las Gravas. While the other cuvées from the estate show the unique expression of site and variety, Las Gravas is a broader lesson in terroir and the varieties that thrive here. Las Gravas is harvested by hand and fermented in underground stone tanks with manual pigeage. Once primary fermentation is complete, the wine is aged in 5000L foudres and 500L French oak demi-muids for 16 months. In most vintages, only 20% of the barrels are new.Rating(s)$39.9020 -
2021 Bodegas Muga El Andén De La Estación Rioja
Muga El Andén de la Estación Crianza is a new project launched in 2020 by the Muga family. As one of the most traditional yet forward thinking viticultural families in Rioja, the bodega has made significant investments in new vineyard holdings through planting and acquiring parcels from growers over the last 30 years. Andén de la Estación, a name which pays homage to the train station that was responsible for shipping wine from Rioja to Bordeaux during the phylloxera, was born out of the family's desire to produce a traditional style classically gastronomic Rioja Crianza, with a profile showcasing the Muga signature complemented by a youthful and fresh profile.Rating(s)$16.9013 -
2022 Terroir al Limit Histórico Priorat Blanc
Winery Notes- Unlike the site specific wines of Terroir al Límit, Terroir Històric is devoted to expressing the complex character of the whole of Priorat in two colors: white and red. While the project launched in 2015 is a remarkable incubator for new plantings from the clay and schist soils of Montsant, it is also a liquid homage, utilizing the négocient tradition of the past to secure a sustainable future. Terroir Històric encourages young farmers to not only return to family vineyards in the region’s 9 villages in and around Torroja, but also transition these family vines to organic farming. Històric Blanc is a blend of Priorat’s traditional white varieties: Grenache Blanc (75 %) and Macabeu (25 %). Harnessing the simple, honest power of great fruit means a truly hands off approach in the cellar: hand harvest, whole cluster naturally ferment, and transfer to inox tank for six months. No extraction, no oak. Traditional Mediterranean aromas of citrus peel and orange blossom, savory mountain herbs and aromatic sage. Bright, juicy flavors with a searing vein of acidity pulsing through to the long creamy finish. Wine at both its most basic, and most beautiful. Priorat unplugged.$29.909 -
