2021 Patz & Hall Dutton Ranch Russian River Valley Chardonnay
Winery Notes- The 2021 Dutton Ranch Chardonnay delivers heady aromas of ripe cut apples, quince and dried jasmine flowers. Deliciously viscous and well textured, a taut acidity and structure runs through the mouthwatering finish. This vintage shines brightly: a Chardonnay from a complex clonal mix of California heirloom selections of highly aromatic Chardonnay.$39.906 -
2022 Ca'n Verdura Supernova Negre Binissalem Mallorca
Supernova Negre is Ca’n Verdura’s flagship red wine produced from the red mantonegro grape, indigenous to the Binissalem region of Mallorca, grown in cal vermell soils consisting of red, iron-rich clays and limestone with small and medium-sized galets. Supernova red originates from the best plots of old-vine mantonegro from goblet-trained vineyards planted in the 1950s in the surrounding villages of Binissalem, including the village of Santa Maria del Camí, which are considered the finest vineyards in the area due to its situation and type of cal vermell soils.$31.906 -
2019 Niner Estates Bootjack Paso Robles Red Blend (Was $35)
Winery Notes- At its core this blend features three varietals each contributing a different element to the blend. Cabernet Franc provides a structural foundation (dry tannin), Cabernet for it’s complex red fruit and finally Malbec adds a mouthwatering juicy quality.Rating(s)$21.9010 -
Louis Roederer Collection 244 Brut Champagne
Winery Notes- Lovely golden yellow, very champagne-like, hue. Dense and steady flow of extremely fine bubbles. Deep, broad bouquet of ripe fruit (wild peaches, william pears) combined with citrus (lemons, blood oranges). The iodised and smoky notes, associated with the autolysis and the ageing in wood, add aromatic freshness. Then come notes of chalk and a hint of reduction, suggesting that the wine will be concentrated and powerful. The entry to the palate is delicious showing a rich and robust texture. We have a very juicy and concentrated sensation as if we were biting into a ripe fruit. The substance is caressingly soft, coating the palate but is then immediately lightened by the delicate bubbles. The length is created by a lovely backbone of chalky freshness. The wine is both delectably rich, with a slightly roasted character, and super fresh thanks to a salivating finish. The smoky notes then take over to underpin a very flavour some finish. Collection 244 marks the return of the texture of the Meunier from the Marne and the Montagne, which adds a lovely richness to the well-structured and saline Pinot noir and Chardonnay grapes!$54.9018 -
2022 Peay West Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Winery Notes- The 2022 bursts out of the glass with a beam of dark raspberry, pomegranate, orange zest, and black trumpet mushroom aromas. In addition to the fruit aromas, a little tea, sour cherry, brass, and bark frame the wine in the aftertaste and finishes with our hallmark fresh acidity making you salivate. The West Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir is 81% Estate fruit and 19% fruit from our neighbor, Richardson Vineyard, who grows grapes for us and provides grazing sheep for weed control. The other wineries who buy fruit from this vineyard have already vineyard-designated their Richardson wines and charge up to 2x the price of our West Sonoma Coast Pinot. Just saying. The 2022 bursts out of the glass with a beam of dark raspberry, pomegranate, orange zest, and black trumpet mushroom aromas. Where the 2021 was more reserved in the nose the 2022 has more impact. The flavors are seamless on the palate and not at all disjointed despite its youthfulness. In addition to the fruit aromas above, a little tea, sour cherry, brass, and bark frame the wine in the aftertaste and finishes with our hallmark fresh acidity making you salivate. This is not a heavy or rich wine and has intensity and power without fat. I expect it will age as long as you desire. Serve with seared fish, meat, anything with a little caramelization.$49.9021 -
2023 Dragonette Happy Canyon of Santa Barbara Sauvignon Blanc
Winery Notes- The great Happy Canyon blend has returned. The 2022 sold out long ago and we have been anxiously awaiting this wine in the Tasting Room and around town at top restaurants. A product of all four Sauvignon Blanc vineyards, this wine shows the true excellence of the Happy Canyon appellation; beautiful ripeness and dramatic fruit flavors held aloft by fabulous acidity and minerality and only a hint of the herbaceousness for which Sauvignon Blanc is (in)famous. As always, top notch, per acre farming is the key here, as we prune and shoot thin for drastically lower yields than in the case of the conventional SB farming protocols. Concentration is dramatically more intense with this style of farming. For the Happy Canyon, we then choose lots that have a more energetic, taut, and lively character, along with the depth and concentration that these fabulous vineyards provide. The wine ages for a total of 7 months on the lees, before it is blended, cold stabilized with a light fining (plant and soil-based fining agents) and gently cross-flow filtered before bottling. The wine pairs with a tremendous variety of foods with weight and interest lifted by great structure and acidity. The 2023 version of the Happy Canyon Sauvignon Blanc is 40% Grassini, 37% Vogelzang, 18% Grimm’s Bluff and 5% Two Wolves. The wine was aged in 72% neutral oak barrels and 28% stainless steel, with 85% Clone 1 and 15% musque. The wine is delicious out of the gate showing mixed tropical fruits, crisp citrus-laced acidity, minerals and a touch of fresh herbs.$33.9021 -
2019 Castello di Romitorio Brunello di Montalcino
Winery Notes- The Castello Romitorio Brunello di Montalcino is our flagship wine and reflects more than 30 years of working in harmony with nature in Montalcino. The estate has new and old vineyards of Sangiovese at high altitudes in the northwest of Montalcino. The Sangiovese grapes are carefully selected before and after destemming. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with an initial short period of cold maceration followed by maceration at a higher controlled temperature. Malolactic fermentation is naturally caused, so the wine is rested to separate the lees. The wine matures in oak for a minimum of 24 months, and, after bottling, it is aged in Castello Romitorio’s temperaturecontrolled cellars for a minimum of 4 months before release.$64.9024+
