2022 Aperture Soil Specific Sonoma County Bordeaux Blend
Winery Notes- All of our fruit is hand harvested and brought into the winery within hours of being picked. Everything is methodically and obsessively sorted. A cold soak of 4-7 days with minimal air incorporation starts the extraction and then cool fermentations with native yeast carry out the remaining. Air and temperature are controlled throughout the 14-28 day fermentation and extended maceration is determined lot by lot when I walk the fine line of full extraction but still keep an elegant and silky texture. Wines go through malolactic fermentation in barrel and are aged (sur-lees) for 18 months. For this vintage, we crafted a distinct Bordeaux blend, composed of primarily Merlot and Malbec, with a delicately balancing of smallerinclusion of cabernet sauvignon, petit verdot, and cabernet franc. The ripe red fruit characters are structured by silky seamless tannins, showcasing an elegant density to the blend.$49.903 -

2022 Beaulieu Vineyard Tapestry Reserve Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (Was $65)
Winery Notes- Our 2022 Tapestry Reserve presents a bold and expressive Bordeaux-style red blend, marked by its deep, intense character and elevated structure. Layers of dark fruit—blackberry, plum, and cassis—form the core of the palate, framed by heady aromatics and a generous use of new oak that imparts subtle notes of warm baking spices, toast, and a touch of nuttiness. The inclusion of more Malbec and Petit Verdot in this vintage adds both color intensity and a structural backbone, enhancing the wine’s age-worthiness while lending a more serious, focused profile. There's a distinct lift of acidity that keeps the wine vibrant and food-friendly, balancing the rich fruit and powerful tannins. Underlying it all is a clear sense of place, with an unmistakable earthy depth of Rutherford dust intertwined with the tension and energy of mountain fruit. The result is a dry, full-bodied red with compelling spice, polished structure, and a long, energetic finish. 2022 Bedrock Wine Co. Bedrock Vineyard - Heritage Wine Sonoma Valley Red Blend
Winery Notes- One of the triumphs of the very good 2022 vintage, this is one of my favorite Bedrock Heritage wines we have made to date. Alas, due to a rough late frost, we also have less of it than normal. Starting in 2022 we adjusted some elements on the viticultural side, including less leafing of the canopy around the clusters. This had a positive impact as the more shaded fruit led to better resolved structure and a bit more suppleness earlier on. This wine always ages beautifully on the back of its tannin component, but sometimes the wines can approach a level of austerity in their youth that requires some patience. Though this wine will still age gracefully for decades, I do think it is one of the more immediately satisfying renditions of the wine— calling to mind the 2012 or 2016 vintages. As always, this is a field-blend of the 20+ varieties planted in 1888 at our home ranch. Based around Zinfandel (roughly 65%), the Bedrock Heritage always has a generous dollop of the spectacular old vine Carignan and Mataro in it, along with the smaller percentages of Syrah, Petite Sirah, Tempranillo, Trousseau, Castets, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Alicante Bouschet, Grand Noir, Lenoir, et al… Wonderfully spicy and perfumed, this wine sings the song of Sonoma Valley.Rating(s)$44.9019 -

With delicate fruit blossom aromas, the palate opens to notes of creamy lemon, sweet spice and spring mint. The wine shows a clean, subtle entry on the palate with a luscious texture and a focused acidity; a perfect balance, lively and fresh in its infancy, then mellowing and building body with age.$39.905
