A benchmark for the Amarone category, which, together with Barolo and Brunello, makes up the aristocracy of the Italian wine world. The product of Masi's unrivalled expertise in the appassimento technique, whereby traditional grapes for the Valpolicella Classica area - Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara - are laid out on bamboo racks to concentrate their aromas during the winter months.Rating(s)$59.9012 -

2022 Livio Felluga Pinot Grigio Friuli Colli Orientali
Winery Notes- Our Pinot Grigio vines, mainly Guyot-trained, have their roots in the Ponca soil (Cormòns flysch in technical terms), composed of marl and sandstone of Eocene origin stratified under the sea over the millennia, which gives our wines a unique tanginess and minerality. The harvest took place during the first half of September. The healthy and perfectly ripe grapes were hand-picked in small crates, to preserve the integrity of the fruit. After gentle destemming the fruit was left to macerate for a short period, then softly crushed, and the must obtained was clarified by decantation. Temperature-controlled fermentation followed in stainless steel vats. At the end of fermentation, the wine was kept on the lees for a few months to increase its complexity, creamy texture and suitability for ageing. Once bottled, it matured in temperature-controlled rooms.$27.9024 -
2023 Argiolas Costamolino Vermentino di Sardegna
Winery Notes- Vermentino often shows the fragrance of macchia, the mix of evergreen shrubs and herbs that typifies the Sardinian landscape. Costamolino hints at aromas of pine and mint coupled with ripe stone fruit and sweet citrus. The palate is at once vibrant and textural and finishes with lingering acidity.$12.9024 -
2020 Cerbaiona Grammatica Rosso Toscana
Winery Notes- In 1977 a new owner, Diego Molinari, arrived from Rome, and neighboring growers were hired to replant and expand the vineyard. In 1981, Cerbaiona began to produce for commerce, and four years later labeled the wine from that vintage as Brunello di Montalcino. Nearly instantly, critics noted what the locals had known long before: The small hillside of Cerbaiona, with its galestro (limestone shale) soils infused with sand, is a unique patch of land in Montalcino. Almost by doing nothing, you can make an exceptional wine at Cerbaiona. Its vineyard location is that special and unique. In the several decades that followed, Cerbaiona took on the status of a cult Brunello, its small production difficult to find and the characteristics of this wine immediately identifiable with this particular vineyard site. Indeed, Cerbaiona is distinctly different than other Brunello and has the inimitable, individual signs of a cru vineyard; a wine for which being from Cerbaiona is its very essence.$34.906 -
2021 Castello di Romitorio RomiToro Toscana
Winery Notes- Romitòro embodies Castello Romitorio’s vision and dedication to excellence. Romitòro is a contemporary energetic Super Tuscan that unites the abundance of the Mediterranean with elegance and persistence. This wine is treasured by those who seek a Super Tuscan with character and excellent drinkability. The vinification takes place in stainless steel vats that account for the grape varietal differences during the fermentation. Malolactic fermentation is done in stainless steel followed by a period of aging in cement before being bottled. Fruit is foremost: Marasca cherry meets ripe plum in a gutsy, full-bodied package. On the palate there is ample fruit, freshness and quite a bit of body: the tannins are bold but countered by so much fruit that they attain an almost mocha vanilla sweetness and come across smooth on the dense, full body. The finish is warming and rounded, a mouthful of big, fruity exuberance that keeps its mojo for quite a number of years.Rating(s)$21.9012 -
2023 Cantina Tramin Pinot Grigio Alto Adige
Winery Notes- The grapes come from vineyards planted in calcareous clay and gravelly soils at an altitude between 250 and 400 meters. This Pinot Grigio shows expressive nose of flowers and fruit of pear and peach. Its flavour is delicate, full, rich in extract and fresh. Hence, this wine pairs well with dishes based on mushrooms, fish and seafood; recommended as an aperitif.$16.9024 -
2022 Gaja Ca' Marcanda Promis Toscana
Winery Notes- The name reminds of the Italian word promessa, that means promise. A promise, exactly as an up-and-comer that, with its young and bold character, brings along a fresh breeze of liveliness and zest. It recalls, as well, the Gaja’s family commitment meant to start a valuable project in Tuscany. 55% Merlot, 35% Syrah, 10% Sangiovese. Mainly from the Castagneto Carducci area, planted on dark soils rich in clay and loam. Fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks and barrels. The elegance and roundness of Merlot and Syrah match with the essential rigor of Sangiovese. Harmonious and enjoyable wine from the very beginning, with an ageing potential of 8-10 years.$49.908 -
2021 Antinori Tignanello Toscana
Winery Notes- The 2021 vintage from Chianti Classico will be remembered for a long slow-paced season: a vintage that promises power and finesse. Temperatures during the winter months were not excessively cold and were accompanied by rain showers that lasted up until the end of March. The beginning of spring triggered early bud break, but cool, dry weather in April slowed down the vines’ vegetative cycle. May and June followed normal weather patterns, not too hot, with scattered precipitation that guaranteed excellent flowering and fruit set of all grape varieties in Tenuta Tignanello’s vineyards. Overall, summer was hot and dry, especially during August but towards the end of the month, occasional rainfall provided ideal conditions for the vines to begin the ripening phase. September and October were picture perfect: sunny skies, no heat spikes, refreshing breezes and cool nighttime temperatures that allowed the grapes to gradually progress to peak ripeness. Overall, the 2021 vintage is considered to be one of the best vintages ever. Harvesting operations began during the last half of September for Sangiovese and were completed October 20th with Cabernet.$159.901 -
2021 Velenosi Ninfa Rosso Marche
Winery Notes- The aromas are deep and lingering: aromas of pulpy fruit, blackberries, cherries, a hint of licorice and graphite, black pepper and tobacco. Balsamic nuances complete the complex, lingering and elegant frame of aromas. Warm, elegant, of great impact and with a rich evolution of taste. Still and assertive character marked by fine, soft, rounded tannins. Lingering finish with pleasant fruity encores.$29.9024+ -
2021 Petilia Fiano Di Avellino
