2023 Road 31 Napa Valley Pinot Noir
Winery Notes- Four plots across two vineyards contributed to this wine. From the Green Island, at the southern mouth of the Napa River, where the water spills into the San Pablo/San Francisco Bay, comes the prettiness of clone 115 and power of clone 667. Stanly Ranch, in Carneros just northwest across the Napa River from Green Island, provides clone 114 structure and robustness of clone 777. What a wine this 2021 Road 31 Napa Valley Pinot Noir is. Imagine Harry Potter, Gal Gadot, Elvis (the early days, not the donut-eating-sequin-wings years), and a 1962 Ferrari GTO all wrapped together in velour. Pull the cork and you may find yourself suddenly reciting Shakespearean sonnets from memory, understanding string theory, and feeling an inexplicable desire — and capability — to dance the tango like a blind Al Pacino. 2023 OLG Our Lady of Guadalupe Vineyard Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir (Was $80)
Winery Notes- An endearing pour of a brooding crimson core with flashes of vermilion and neon pink as the glass swirls. Aromatics spill in double time with notes of muddled strawberry, “Pinot crunch”, cranberry, pomegranate, orange peel, and the coastal hills of lavender and sagebrush surrounding our vineyard. Without missing a beat, the palate flaunts rich and concentrated flavors of black cherry, ripe strawberry, fennel and a kiss of Maldon salt, kept in check by the layers of acid that dominate wines from the region. 2023 Wayfarer WF2 Fort Ross-Seaview Pinot Noir
Winery Notes- Aromas of Bing cherry, strawberry, rose petal potpourri, violets and lilac develop in the glass. The 2022 has a freshness that can only come from a cooler growing season. The wine is creamy on the entry, with a mix of dark and tart cherry, pomegranate, licorice, brown sugar and Madagascar vanilla on the palate. Lighter in body than the Wayfarer Pinot Noirs but oh so pretty, it is a lovely wine, fresh and giving upon first opening.$49.909 -

2014 Vin Soleil Napa Valley Cabernet Franc
Winery Notes- This lesser seen varietal, famously comprising the great reds from the Loire valley in France, finds a new home in the happy soils of the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley. The warmth of the vintage blessed this wine with deep wild plum and wild red berry notes that invite you into deeper floral and earth tones.
