2022 Benovia Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (Was $55)
Winery Notes- The 2022 vintage provided the raw materials to produce a Russian River Valley Pinot Noir with vibrant fruit and exotic spice aromas and layered texture. Aromas are dominated by red fruit tones of Queen Anne Cherry and Pomegranate, while black fruits dominate on the palate. The vibrant aromas expand and give way to red plum, black cherry, and complex baking spices. On the palate the wine has integrated acidi ty and fine tannins that should allow for mid-term cellaring. As always, the wine was bottled without fining or filtration.$29.909 -

2022 Carlisle Papera Ranch Vineyard Russian River Valley Zinfandel
Winery Notes- Medium-dark to dark garnet-ruby. An incredibly gorgeous, hi-toned nose of raspberry, cherry, Red Haven peach, and fresh tobacco. It’s difficult to pull your nose away from the glass! On the palate, medium-full bodied with flavors of raspberry, red licorice whips, cinnamon, and blood orange. So jubilant, so refreshing. Just an utter joy to drink. 2022 Sojourn Wohler Vineyard Russian River Valley Pinot Noir
Winery Notes- A warm 2022 summer brought one of the earliest harvests on record in the Sonoma Coast, with a September heat wave influencing some picking decisions. Cooler pockets of the Sonoma Coast fared well through the heat and the resulting wines offer depth and finesse. Yields were miniscule, with many vineyards breaking records on the low side for cluster weights. The resulting wines have concentrated flavors with tension and length. In 2022 we harvested Wohler Vineyard in multiple passes, fermenting each block separately. We also co-fermented small portions of the steepest ends of the clone 828 and 667 blocks. This lot formed the foundation of the 2022 blend. Clones 667 and 828 provided rich fruit and density while the Wädenswil 2A component added earthy notes and structure.$54.905 -

Winery Notes- Our 2022 Kali Hart Pinot Noir is a fruit-forward expression of our coastal influenced vineyards in Santa Lucia Highlands, California. Aromas of ripe black cherry and plum greet the nose with inviting notes of toasted vanilla and warm clove. Soft, silky tannins reveal layers of crushed blackberry and strawberry with a hint of savory herbs. The finish is long and luscious with a touch of minerality.$13.901 -
2022 Bedrock Wine Co. Bedrock Vineyard - Heritage Wine Sonoma Valley Red Blend
Winery Notes- One of the triumphs of the very good 2022 vintage, this is one of my favorite Bedrock Heritage wines we have made to date. Alas, due to a rough late frost, we also have less of it than normal. Starting in 2022 we adjusted some elements on the viticultural side, including less leafing of the canopy around the clusters. This had a positive impact as the more shaded fruit led to better resolved structure and a bit more suppleness earlier on. This wine always ages beautifully on the back of its tannin component, but sometimes the wines can approach a level of austerity in their youth that requires some patience. Though this wine will still age gracefully for decades, I do think it is one of the more immediately satisfying renditions of the wine— calling to mind the 2012 or 2016 vintages. As always, this is a field-blend of the 20+ varieties planted in 1888 at our home ranch. Based around Zinfandel (roughly 65%), the Bedrock Heritage always has a generous dollop of the spectacular old vine Carignan and Mataro in it, along with the smaller percentages of Syrah, Petite Sirah, Tempranillo, Trousseau, Castets, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Alicante Bouschet, Grand Noir, Lenoir, et al… Wonderfully spicy and perfumed, this wine sings the song of Sonoma Valley.$44.9019 -
