2022 Aurore de Dauzac, Margaux
Winery Notes- The 2022 vintage will be remembered by all. The particularly mild winter led to a very early budburst. Frosts were avoided during the cool nights of April. Once again, the Gironde estuary served as a protector for Château Dauzac’s vineyard. Flowering began around May 15th in ideal weather conditions, but the end of flowering was marked by violent storms. Fortunately, the vineyard was spared from hail. This last rainy episode then gave way to a very hot and dry summer. The drought was the most concerning element of this vintage. Herbal teas applied regularly to the vines helped them to strengthen their resistance and cope with this climate. August only rain helped the vines to complete their veraison. The harvest took place under exceptional weather conditions from September 5th to 26th. The overall yield was small due to the lack of water but the remarkable quality will make the 2022 vintage one of the greatest ever known in Bordeaux. The nose is floral with notes of fresh red fruits. The tannins are present but silky and offer a nice length.$25.9017 -

2023 Hyde de Villaine (HDV) Hyde Vineyard Napa Valley Chardonnay
Winery Notes- After three of the most challenging seasons in recent years, with consecutive extreme drought conditions and heat events, 2023 came as a redemption year. The year started with a wet and cold Winter. Spring and early Summer remained cool and overcast, with only a handful of warmer days. Consequently, Harvest was delayed by almost 6 weeks compared to a 10-year average. The waiting was nerve-racking, as early rains and cool Falls are not uncommon in Napa. Moderate weather continued through September and early October, allowing for extended hang time. The crop was balanced and generous, resulting in wines of refined purity and detailed precision.$84.901 -

2023 Caterwaul Rutherford Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Winery Notes- Centered in the heart of Napa Valley, Rutherford is distinguished by its layered alluvial soils and generous sun exposure. This single-vineyard expression from its northern reaches reveals increasingly exposed river stones between vine rows—an indicator of both good drainage and defining site character. Made from clone 4 Cabernet Sauvignon, the wine shows a dark ruby core with lifted garnet hues at the rim. On the nose, classic Rutherford dust frames aromas of brambleberry, charred meat, and warm baking spices. The palate delivers immediate depth and concentration, balanced by vibrant acidity that lends lift and clarity. 2022 Ink Grade Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc (Was $75)
Winery Notes- Working with concrete, stainless steel and large oak vessels to marry textures and weights; working with lees to enhance the saline quality; and pressing longer to build structure and expose a minor note of bitterness on the finish. A refreshing and vibrant wine with excellent acidity, our 2022 Sauvignon Blanc is the most exceptional vintage to date. Produced from older vines, this wine expresses notes of star fruit, lemongrass, nectarine, lemon zest, and a natural salinity reminiscent of an ocean mist. The weight and texture of the palate are held together by the bright acidity, leading to a lengthy finish. A double or triple decant elevates all elements of this wine now, or it will open on its own in 2026. 2023 Bonny Doon Le Cigare Volant Monterey County Rhône Blend
Winery Notes- The fruit is carefully selected to ensure its full potential of ripeness with balanced chemistry, and as usual for Cigare, Grenache is the star of the show. As we all know, Grenache grown in relatively cool sites in coastal California has a growing season long enough for it to create the spicy, peppery quality that we love so much and expect to taste in Cigare. We included, as is our wont, some wonderful Cinsault, a rather plump and juicy grape, which was signee to a fare-thee0well, to increase the concentration of this lightly colored and structured grape. The wine was aged in stainless steel tank and bottled ten months after harvest to preserve freshness and vibrancy.$14.9024 -
