2020 Niner Estates Bootjack Paso Robles Red Blend (Was $30)
Winery Notes- We hand-sorted, destemmed and grav ity fed the grapes into a combination of stainless steel tanks and one French oak tank. We fermented each varietal separately to preserve their unique characteristics and after 19 months, composed the final blend. The blend aged an additional month in barrels before it was bottled. A total of 20 months of aging with a lighter oak impact (36% new French oak) helped us retain balance and pure fruit expression. The base of this blend is made of three different varietals each of which contributes unique elements to the finished wine. Cabernet Franc adds herbal notes and tannin structure, Cabernet Sauvignon adds red fruit qualities and garnet color, and Malbec adds dark fruit characteristics and a plush, juicy mouthfeel. With notes of dried cherry, rhubarb and brushy herbs, this wine is ready to drink now.$19.9024 -
2020 Essay Red Blend Swartland South Africa
Winery Notes- This is a medium-bodied blended red wine with an expressive nose and a soft, lush mouth-feel. Syrah gives ripe plum and dark fruit notes on the nose and palate. Mourvedre adds complexity with savoury leather and spice aromas. Grenache softens the palate, adding floral notes and together with the Syrah forms the backbone of the blend. Cinsault gives red fruit notes and a soft, lush mouth-feel to the final blend. Overall, the wine shows depth and finesse, but with gentle tannins. Blend: 59% Syrah, 17% Cinsault, 14% Grenache, 10% Mourvedre 10%$11.9011 -
2020 Chateau de Rouanne Vinsobres
Château de Rouanne is a historic estate with a 12th century medieval castle, situated on a classified Roman site located in the southern Rhône Valley. The name of the estate comes from "Rugius", which is said to be the name of the original Roman owner. The estate totals 177 acres (72 hectares), including 153 acres (62 hectares) of vines. Château de Rouanne was purchased by Louis Barruol, owner and winemaker of Château de Saint Cosme, in May of 2019. Barruol sees enormous potential in Château de Rouanne, having worked with the previous owners for years as a source for some of his négociant wines. “It reminds me a lot of Saint Cosme when I took it over in 1992. It’s an unknown sleeping beauty waiting for a vigneron to truly love it.”$19.902 -

Winery Notes- Blackberry, fig, plum jam, peppery spice and a smoked meat note support a bevy of cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove pie-like-spice. The fruit for this wine was harvested late to maximize ripe and dark fruit flavors, then aged in French oak barrels with a good dose of whiskey-charred American oak as well as maple, hickory, mesquite & Brazilian Amburana woods.$24.903
