Winery Notes- his wine has a beautiful, deep ruby color with nuanced aromas blending cassis, anise, cola, black cherry pie, and subtle hints of baking spices complemented with cedar and vanilla. On the palate, red and dark fruits are forward and bright with fine, well-integrated tannins that gives it an unctuous mouthfeel. Lingering hints of blackberry, cocoa and toasty vanilla round out the long, lush finish. 2022 Aperture Soil Specific Sonoma County Bordeaux Blend
Winery Notes- All of our fruit is hand harvested and brought into the winery within hours of being picked. Everything is methodically and obsessively sorted. A cold soak of 4-7 days with minimal air incorporation starts the extraction and then cool fermentations with native yeast carry out the remaining. Air and temperature are controlled throughout the 14-28 day fermentation and extended maceration is determined lot by lot when I walk the fine line of full extraction but still keep an elegant and silky texture. Wines go through malolactic fermentation in barrel and are aged (sur-lees) for 18 months. For this vintage, we crafted a distinct Bordeaux blend, composed of primarily Merlot and Malbec, with a delicately balancing of smallerinclusion of cabernet sauvignon, petit verdot, and cabernet franc. The ripe red fruit characters are structured by silky seamless tannins, showcasing an elegant density to the blend.$49.903 -

2021 Chateau Montelena Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Winery Notes- The density and richness of this wine are teased right from the start. Pomegranate, plum and dried blackberry lead a lavish charge of ripe, dark fruit. In the midst, there’s a hint of barrel toast, first as charcoal and then as fresh wood. The aromas remain elevated, with potpourri and black pepper initially, and then concluding with fig jam and cherry tobacco. This Cabernet has all of the markers of a great Montelena wine. The palate is bursting with a dynamic and seemingly haphazard array of fruit, acid and tannin, all tied together with fresh mint and graphite. Rest assured, all of these elements will settle into place over time. There’s a beautiful, almost velvety, softness from the Merlot that rounds off most of the coarse edges and lends refinement. Best of all, this wine is approachable now but will build complexity with time in glass. The baking spices really come into focus here along with notes of earth and toasted almond. The tannins are chalky, rather than angular, and roasted hazelnut complements the fresh raspberry and black tea. This is truly an elegant, restrained, food-friendly wine.$74.9011 -
2021 Hitching Post Highliner Sideways 20 Year Anniversary Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir
Winery Notes- We selected our flagship wine for this commemorative bottling. “Highliner” is an assemblage of only the best lots of all the different Pinot Noirs we make each vintage. Consequently, it earns consistent high praise. The fruit for 2021 Highliner came from 5 different vineyards with the majority sourced from the iconic Sanford & Benedict Vineyard in the Sta. Rita Hills appellation. All vineyards and clones are harvested and produced separately using traditional burgundian techniques. 20 months barrel age in French oak along with masterful blending, brought all the elements to a harmonious whole. "We enjoy making Highliner the most of any of our wines,” states Frank Ostini. “Utilizing the different flavors and textures from all of these vineyards creates a complex and balanced wine that plays to the many keys of Pinot Noir. The 2021 vintage is the best vintage of the 2000s to date.” The moniker “Highliner” refers to the best fishermen in the fleet and references Gray Hartley’s nearly 30 years in the fishing industry prior to winemaking. 2022 Hanzell Sebella Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Winery Notes- Intriguing and mouthwatering aromas of pomegranate, Bing cherry, cranberry, wild blueberry, tangerine, cherry tobacco, Daikon radish and redwood forest floor emanate from the glass. Winery Notes- Our third Grenache Blanc from our new estate vineyard, hence forth known as Kitty Face Vineyard, located in the eastern Sonoma Valley. This wine provokes aromatics of fresh lemon and green apples, tropical melon, sea salt, blood orange and fall pears with a hint of grated nutmeg, fennel and dill seed. It then expands to a broad palate filled with apricots, lemon curd and brioche. Maintaining our signature synthesis of honeyed stone fruits polarized by lively acidity and piercing minerality gaining momentum of richness and depth on the finish.
