2022 Aperture Soil Specific Sonoma County Bordeaux Blend
Winery Notes- All of our fruit is hand harvested and brought into the winery within hours of being picked. Everything is methodically and obsessively sorted. A cold soak of 4-7 days with minimal air incorporation starts the extraction and then cool fermentations with native yeast carry out the remaining. Air and temperature are controlled throughout the 14-28 day fermentation and extended maceration is determined lot by lot when I walk the fine line of full extraction but still keep an elegant and silky texture. Wines go through malolactic fermentation in barrel and are aged (sur-lees) for 18 months. For this vintage, we crafted a distinct Bordeaux blend, composed of primarily Merlot and Malbec, with a delicately balancing of smallerinclusion of cabernet sauvignon, petit verdot, and cabernet franc. The ripe red fruit characters are structured by silky seamless tannins, showcasing an elegant density to the blend.$49.903 -
2022 Thacher Working Holiday Paso Robles Rhône Blend
The “KR” on our barn is a well-known landmark of old-time Paso Robles. The Kentucky Ranch- our home, winery, vineyard, and gardens were part of a 4,000-acre Spanish Land Grant until 1869, after which it became a thriving horse breeding operation. Our ranch includes the 1920s KR barn, outbuildings, our home, barley fields, and riparian habitat for deer, coyotes, bobcats, turkeys, and the occasional mountain lion. Since 2004, Thacher Winery, with the grasshopper label, has been hand-crafting wines grown in superb Central Coast vineyards. Our small lot production demonstrates local subtleties and terroir. Construction of the tasting room and 4,600 square foot, solar powered winery was completed in 2008, just in time for our fourth harvest of about 33 tons of premium wine grapes. Today total production is approximately 5,000 cases of low-intervention and all native ferments that are created in the vineyard. 2022 Ferrari-Carano Sonoma County Fumé Blanc
Winery Notes- This wine opens with enticing aromas of pineapple, mango, peach, lemon grass, and lychee. The palate offers ripe fruit and crisp citrus flavors of yellow peach, apricot, pear, lime zest, and lemon cream. The Fumé Blanc has bright acidity and crisp freshness from the cool, stainless steel tank fermentation, while the subtle oak character from neutral French oak barrels adds body, complexity, and depth.$12.905
