Winery Notes- Rich aromas of ripe black cherry, Mission fig, and dark chocolate mingle with a spice box of clove and nutmeg. The palate is filled with flavors of juicy blackberry and boysenberry that are enveloped in silky tannins, showing complexity beyond its years. 2019 Dunn Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5LTR)
#6 Wine Spectator's Top 100 Wines of 2023 Winery Notes- The mountain really determined the style of the wine. It became obvious right away that the grapes up here were much more powerful than down on the valley floor. I just made the wine itself the same way we did at Caymus, it just was a more tannic wine due to the place. Our signature wine contains only fruit farmed by us here in our vineyards on Howell Mountain.
