2022 Domaine Boris Champy Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Beaune Bignon 421
Winery Notes- This wine comes from our plot "En Bignon" in Bouze-les-Beaune. The soil is very clayey and red. He confirms the adage Burgundian: "red earth, red soil". The high altitude (421 m) allows the wine to retain all the freshness, ideal conditions for obtaining fine, balanced and refined wines. On the nose and on the palate, this wine combines a great freshness of altitude (fresh red fruits) and a spicy character characteristic of fine Pinot Noir.$64.909 -

2022 Kistler Russian River Valley Pinot Noir
Winery Notes- Our approach to Pinot Noir is very similar to Chardonnay but we have two clones. For the last 25 years we’ve been working on selecting which of the two we preferred and we finally came to the conclusion that the answer was both. We’ve been planting our newer Pinot Noir Vineyards with a field mix of the two selections of late, giving deference to neither and laying the groundwork for our next generation of Pinot Noirs to be as transparent to site, and their relativity to each other, as are our Chardonnays. Both selections are marked by very low yields, small berries, great concentration and color in the fruit and a propensity to hold their natural acids during ripening.$79.905 -

2022 Sojourn Wohler Vineyard Russian River Valley Pinot Noir
Winery Notes- A warm 2022 summer brought one of the earliest harvests on record in the Sonoma Coast, with a September heat wave influencing some picking decisions. Cooler pockets of the Sonoma Coast fared well through the heat and the resulting wines offer depth and finesse. Yields were miniscule, with many vineyards breaking records on the low side for cluster weights. The resulting wines have concentrated flavors with tension and length. In 2022 we harvested Wohler Vineyard in multiple passes, fermenting each block separately. We also co-fermented small portions of the steepest ends of the clone 828 and 667 blocks. This lot formed the foundation of the 2022 blend. Clones 667 and 828 provided rich fruit and density while the Wädenswil 2A component added earthy notes and structure.$54.905 -

2022 Domaine Dujac Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Aux Combottes
Winery Notes- Les Combottes, a locality south of the village of Gevrey-Chambertin, lies halfway up the hill, just below the steep incline of Les Monts Luisants, in a steeply sloping area (5–6%). Ranging in altitude from 271 to 282 meters, this lieu-dit faces due east. The soil changes from east to west. In the eastern part of the plot, the reddish-brown soil is 40 to 50 cm thick, containing angular-to-rounded limestone fragments. In the western part of the lieu-dit, the soil is rich in fine angular limestone gravel. The underlying substratum Les Combottes is ocher-colored crinoidal limestone (limestone in Entroques), rich in debris from marine organisms. To the west, this layer is overlain by bedded limestone scree (grèzes litées), covering the upper part of the slope. This Comblanchien limestone scree is composed of fine angular gravel.$379.901 -
2022 Cascina Penna-Currado Carrà Barbera d'Alba
Luca and Elena have always been particularly invested in Barbera d’Alba as they were among the first to invest in it seriously. They believe strongly in the potential of this grape in communicating what the Langhe has to offer to a wide audience. The Carrà site is in the San Sebastiano area of Municipality of Monforte, with a particularly great natural biodiversity. Grapes come from predominantly from two parcels; one planted in 1965 and another in 2000. The wine is vinified partially whole cluster and aged in botti making it rich and concentrated but not too ripe.$52.901 -
2022 Brewer-Clifton Machado Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir
Winery Notes- Looking to secure a mirror-image sister ranch to our 3D Vineyard, we began working with the Machado family in the winter of 2008. Our 15 acre parcel on their land is located adjacent to Clos Pepe and immediately behind the Kessler-Haak Vineyard. The site is marked by a gorgeous rolling terrain with sandy loam soils. At Machado, the majority of the planting is dedicated to pinot noir with equal amounts of such selections as Pommard, Merry Edwards, Mount Eden, and 459. In addition to pinot noir, we also planted a small, two-acre plot in the sandiest portion of the field to the Sweeney Canyon selection of chardonnay.$84.9017 -
2019 Bohème English Hill Vineyard Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (Was $60)
Winery Notes- English Hill Vineyard grows at the southwest edge of Sebastopol Hills, surrounded by expansive pasture and rangeland. Overlooking Russian River Valley and the Marin Coast, weather swings wildly between continental and maritime influences. 2019 Pinot Noir: Five clones of Pinot Noir are planted at this site that bridges Sonoma Coast and Russian River Valley growing regions. The grapes were harvested between September 14th to 25th with an average yield of 2.42 tons per acre. English Hill Pinot Noir received tailored cold-soak and hand punch-down treatment with 25% Whole Cluster fermentation. The wine aged 22 months in 20% new French Burgundy barrels before bottling.$44.903 -

Winery Notes- Gorgeous, bright aromas of fresh cherry, alpine strawberries, spice cake, white pepper, and roses. The very seductive aromas inform the palate which is supple, serious, and wonderfully fresh. The 2019 will pair better with heartier, more savory fare and although charming now, it will continue to improve over the next several years.$49.901 -
