Winery Notes- From the acclaimed Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard, this opulent, plush, fruit bomb Cabernet opens with rich scents of blackberry, caramel, and anise on the nose. On the palate, it illustrates power, finesse, and balance with flavors of dark cherries, plum, chocolate, and fresh earth. 2021 Mazzei Castello di Fonterutoli Concerto Toscana (Was $80)
“Concerto” was born in 1981, as an effect of a viticulture with an unexpressed potential, experimenting new training systems and new blends, including also non-autochthonous varietals; it was one of the forerunners and also one of the top 10 players of the “Super Tuscans” phenomenon.$39.9013 -
2021 Groth Reserve Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (Was $150)
Winery Notes- This wine presents a compelling bouquet of deep red and black fruits, with prominent aromas of fresh blackberry, rich dark cassis, and black currant. Fine herbs, ancho chili, allspice, sesame, and hints of menthol add an intriguing complexity. On the palate, sun-ripened wild blackberry leads to indulgent notes of chocolate-covered black cherry and notes of tobacco leaf. A hint of gingerbread introduces a delightful spiciness, harmonizing with soft yet powerful tannins. The finish is lingering and extended, leaving a lasting impression of elegance and depth.$129.902 -
2021 K Vintners MCK (Motor City Kitty) Boushey Vineyard Yakima Valley Syrah (Was $40)
Winery Notes- 2021 was one of the warmest vintages to date in Washington. Bud break started early due to nice weather and moderate temperatures, then June was one of the warmest in recorded history, resulting in very small berries. Veraison and the beginning of the ripening season were nice and even, leading to excellent fruit with incredible concentration. Overall, 2021 is a distinct and lovely vintage, producing fantastic wines to enjoy now and into the future. Intriguing, tantalizing and desirable. Expectations turn into surprises of white pepper, black plum, potpourri and fresh pine needles. Melds and twists of complexity - fresh sage, grilled herbs, orange zest and nori notes. Can’t get over it…such an enticing beauty.$29.908
