2024 Occidental Freestone-Occidental Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Winery Notes- The 2024 Freestone-Occidental wine shares the same winemaking techniques as our vineyard designated pinot noirs. Crystalline, bright, mouthwatering, and a bit salty with a saline mineral finish, the 2024 Freestone-Occidental evokes juicy red berries and a near perfect balance of finesse and energy – of bright, primary red fruits and saline elements. It conveys outstanding precision and lift in the mouth and finishes vibrant and long with beautifully sculpted tannins. Its modest alcohol (13%) makes this wine a perfect complement to any meal. It is delicious now and will develop nicely in bottle.Rating(s)$74.9020 -

2023 Tyler Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir
Winery Notes- Our Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir is comprised of fruit from various high quality vineyard sites throughout the region. This bottling is intended to provide great value and represenation, while keeping focus on quality and typicity. We ferment with native yeasts in large, open-top Rousseau oak fermenters. After about five days, fermentation begins and we gently manage extraction with judicious use of both punch-downs and pump-overs. Once dry, we press the wine to tank for a brief settling before racking to french oak barrique. The wine rests in barrel for 8-9 months before racking back to stainless steel tanks prior to bottling. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. The result is a structured, yet approachable, Pinot Noir with bright acidity, red fruits and a natural savoriness.$29.9014 -
2023 Evening Land Seven Springs Vineyard Eola-Amity Hills Pinot Noir
Winery Notes- Seven Springs Pinot Noir comes primarily from our oldest own-rooted block of Pinot Noir at the vineyard. Originally planted in 1982, these Pommard clones thrive in iron-rich, volcanic Jory soils. The 40-year-old dry-farmed vines are harvested by hand, the grapes are hand sorted, and nearly all of the fruit is destemmed. Drinkability and structure have come to define this estate cuvée, and the 2022 bottling is no different. It shows the many colors of young Pinot Noir - juicy blue and red berries, blood orange and pink peppercorn - with an herbal, thyme-like kick. Packed with energy, fine tannins and spice hang on.$34.909 -
2023 Arterberry Maresh Old Vine Dundee Hills Pinot Noir
The Maresh family has had a long and memorable presence in the Dundee Hills. In 1980 Jim and Loie’s daughter, Martha, married Fred Arterberry, Jr. who was one of the first winemakers in Oregon to have a degree in fermentation science from the University of California at Davis. Fred Arterberry was one of the early pioneer winemakers the 1970’s and produced many highly acclaimed wines from the Maresh Vineyard. In 1983 Martha and Fred had a son, Jim Arterberry Maresh. His father’s winery label — Arterberry — closed upon Fred’s death in 1990. Beginning in 2005 Jim founded his own winery, Arterberry Maresh, and is the first in Oregon to represent a third generation in Oregon’s wine industry. Raised on his family’s farm since he was born has given Jim a strong connection to and appreciation of the Red Hills of Dundee. He knows the vineyards, the neighbors and the various seasons and vintages that challenge and reward each grape grower and winemaker. His is a deep history of family, farming and winemaking. His wines reflect that heritage and the experience of three generations farming since 1959.$39.905 -
2023 Evesham Wood Eola-Amity Hills Pinot Noir
Winery Notes- The 2023 is evocative of some favorite flavors of summer and winter combined. 2023 Cep (Peay Vineyards) Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Winery Notes- The ideal expression of Pinot Noir to us is a wine that has body without heaviness and is full of flavor but graceful and elegant. The 2023 Cep Pinot Noir captures this essence and is just gorgeous. The aroma features bright fruits of raspberry, pomegranate, and cranberry with floral elements blowing through and a slightly brambly, anise quality giving ballast in the face of the high tones. It is full-flavored yet not rich, a quality I find very attractive and unique, especially at this price point. The acidity is mouth-watering though not aggressive. The tell-tale Peay Pinot Noir aromas of dried pine needle, jasmine tea, and earth linger in the aftertaste. This wine offers charm, complexity, and value. Cep is the second label of Peay Vineyards. The Pinot Noir is made from barrels that do not go into one of the Peay Pinot Noirs and, oftentimes, many of the barrels from a specific block found in a Peay wine are also in this cuvée. This style of Pinot Noir is simply not found in wines at this price point as it is made to be Peay and has impeccable balance, finesse, and site expressiveness. 2023 Aphros Phaunus Loureiro Amphora Portugal (Orange Wine)
Founded in 2002, Aphros is a project designed to combine ecological and economical aspects to create true sustainability. Their belief is that nature and labor should combine in a meaningful way and they seek to capture this through Biodynamic viticulture, letting the uniqueness of the land shine through the fruit for inimitable wines. Loureiro and Vinhão have grown in these vineyards for centuries and serve as the reference point for the region. The grapes are sourced from the Lima sub-region and the vines of Casal do Paço are situated in a south facing amphitheater north of the Lima River on gentle slopes with cool Atlantic breezes. The winemaking is traditional, taking place in the basement beneath the main house. The cave is buried and naturally cool and damp. They once again straddle the line between modern and traditional character with the addition of modern stainless steel equipment and traditional open top lagars, granite stone tanks, for red wine production.Rating(s)$29.9022 -
