Winery Notes- After three of the most challenging seasons in recent years, with consecutive extreme drought conditions and heat events, 2023 came as a redemption year. The year started with a wet and cold Winter. Spring and early Summer remained cool and overcast, with only a handful of warmer days. Consequently, Harvest was delayed by almost 6 weeks compared to a 10-year average. The waiting was nerve-racking, as early rains and cool Falls are not uncommon in Napa. Moderate weather continued through September and early October, allowing for extended hang time.
